To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this landmark event, Light Fantastic: Expo 88 Parades Rewired will take visitors back in time to rediscover the magic of the Lunchtime and Light Fantastic Parades that mesmerised crowds every day.  Unlike anything ever seen in Australia before, creating the parades was an intensive process. The resulting joy for thousands of visitors only hints at the enormous energy and collaboration needed to bring the ideas to life.  Light Fantastic will take visitors behind-the-scenes, where Parades Producer Mike Mullins assembled an incredible team of float and costume designers, lighting and special effects specialists and performers. Visitors to the exhibition will also have the chance to remember and share their favourite Expo stories in our 612 ABC memory booth. Join us to celebrate the creativity, innovation and energy of the event that bought Brisbane to life: World Expo 88.
